The Chinese highway society was founded in August 28, 1978 and its predecessor was the National Road Construction Association of China established in Shanghai in May 1921. At present, there are 14 branches, two expert institutions, two specialized agencies and two entity agencies. All provinces, districts, cities, Xinjiang production and Construction Corps and 80% of the city have established the organization of the highway society. There are 2370 members in the whole country and more than 7.3, 000, 000. Since its establishment, many important academic achievements have been achieved, such as academic exchange, technical consultation, technology award, talent evaluation, periodical publication, international communication and cooperation. It has played an important role in the technological progress of highway traffic in China.
 
The Secretariat of China highway society has 9 departments: office, development research center, science and technology evaluation center, academic exchange center, education training center, science and technology achievement promotion center, learning management department, international cooperation department and science popularization department.
 
The China highway society is the most sound, most widely distributed, most influential and authoritative academic organization of the highway transportation industry in China.
 
According to the needs of the development of the society, in order to strengthen the strength of the academic department, we are now recruiting the relevant personnel.
 
The academic exchange center mainly provides academic services for governments, enterprises and research institutes. Its functions include holding academic conferences, conducting academic exchanges, building technology transfer service platforms, and promoting organization results.
