Published:2018/2/2

The second span bridge in Penang is about 24km. The length of the bridge across Penang Strait is about 16.9km. The main bridge is a three span prestressed concrete girder cable stayed bridge with a length of 475m, and the width of the bridge deck is 35.6m. The project is the largest cooperation between China and Malaysia, and is also the longest cross sea bridge in Southeast Asia. For the first time in the more developed areas, it is an oversize project built by the design - construction general contracting (DB) model. The project was designed by the British BS standard and the European standard. It was built in November 2008 and opened in March 2014.
